KITCHENER, Ont —Couples can now to have their wedding ceremonies at Kitchener Public Library’s iconic downtown Kitchener location. The library’s new Ceremonies in the Stacks wedding package is perfect for couples looking for a unique and intimate way to celebrate with friends and family.
Included in the $999 package is a one-hour ceremony with up to 30 guests, a wedding officiant and whimsical book-themed decorations. Couples will also get thirty minutes of photography time to take one-of-a-kind wedding photos in the award-winning Central Library.
“We’ve been approached for engagement and wedding photoshoots in the past, so why not take it one step further and offer weddings at the library as well? For many, the library has played a key role in their story, making it an extra special place to exchange vows. Reimaging the library as a venue for special events, like weddings, allows us to continue to offer innovative library programs and services. “ — Mary Chevreau, CEO, Kitchener Public Library.
To celebrate this launch, the library is also giving away one free wedding to a lucky couple. Acknowledging that it’s been a difficult year for those wanting to get married, the library invites couples to enter a draw to win a free wedding ceremony. The winning couple will be able to choose from select dates in 2021.
Kitchener Public Library is an inclusive space and all love is welcome.
